Yamanashi Prefecture announced on the 17th that a man in his 80s who had been hospitalized at a medical institution in the prefecture had died after being confirmed to be infected with the new coronavirus.
It also announced that it has confirmed that five men and women between the ages of 10 and 80 are newly infected.
A total of 472 people have been confirmed infected in the prefecture.
