It is the return of an eternal musician, Paul McCartney.

The former member of the Beatles has just released a third album, after the first two of 1970 and 1980. New songs sometimes experimental but always also pop-rock, decrypted, on Europe 1, by Dominique Grandfils, specialist of the famous group of the years 1960.

The famous bassist of the Beatles of the 1960s, returns to the fore at the age of 78, with a third solo album entitled, quite simply:

Paul McCartney III

.

The first volume was released in 1970, a few months after the breakup of the iconic group and the second 10 years later.

But the musician's timeless style connects them all.

In this album, Paul McCartney plays guitar, bass, sings and composes entirely on his own.

Since the release of the first, computer music has arrived.

He also enjoys it in the song

Long Ailed Winter Bird

by modifying his voice to make it more robotic.

But on his eleven new songs, several remain pop, à la Beatles like the title

Pretty Boy

.

"We can see that he is looking for experimentation"

The artist's paw, without a doubt, is to mix experimental music and popular songs.

This is also the analysis of Dominique Grandfils, author of several books on the Beatles.

"McCartney knows that the most classic fans, the oldest will seek the pop side, the stroll side on the guitar, the piano, he explains, but he is always attracted by innovation."

He adds: "in the track

Deep Deep Feeling

, we can see that he is looking for experimentation"

Paul McCartney recorded this album at his farm in Sussex, England where he was confined in the spring to "give himself a gift".

He did not think that these hours spent in the studio to counter boredom would become an album, welcomed with open arms by his fans.
