  • Lara Gautier, 22, is Miss Côte d'Azur this year.

  • She will try to succeed Sabrina Belleval, last Miss Côte d'Azur elected Miss France thirty-eight years ago.

Will she (finally) succeed Sabrina Belleval, the last Miss Côte d'Azur to have won the tiara of Miss France?

38 years after this historic coronation for the Riviera, the Niçoise Lara Gautier will try to achieve this feat, Saturday, in front of the jury of the French beauty contest.

And she has her chances.

A lot of bookmakers believe it.

While waiting for the verdict, which will be announced live on TF1,

20 Minutes

makes the presentations.

A competitor of Miss France persevering

By becoming Miss Côte d'Azur 2020, on October 23 in Mandelieu, Lara Gautier had her revenge.

Already a candidate last year, the young woman only finished first runner-up.

"In life, in general, I know what I want," she confides to

20 Minutes

with a burst of laughter.

I really wanted to discover this environment.

And my grandmother was always pushing me.

She kept telling me: "You should introduce yourself."

"Natural" and "spontaneous" in her own words, the young woman believes in her chances.

“It would make me so happy to be able to bring the title back to the Côte d'Azur after so many years,” she explains.

A "country" woman, very close to animals

Born in Nice in March 1998 (she is 22), she grew up a few kilometers away, near Contes.

“I lived in the countryside,” she confides to

20 Minutes

.

And I have always been sensitive to the fate of animals.

»Her father introduced her to the NGO WWF, of which she has been a volunteer for two years.

“I participated in an operation at sea, during the summer of 2019, to raise awareness,” explains the young woman.

A marketing student thirsty for travel

In the last year of a master's degree in marketing and communication at the IPAG business school in Nice, Lara Gautier studied five months in England and wishes to complete her studies in Scotland.

“I love to travel and discover new places.

That's why I would very much like to become marketing director of a large group, and why not of an NGO, and why not of the WWF ”, smiles the candidate for the title of Miss France.

What if we offered him experiences in the media?

L'Azuréenne would not say no.

"I am open to all proposals, which would of course be in my interest, as long as they train me and shape me", concludes Lara Gautier.
