  The Civil Service Bureau of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government issued a circular in October this year, requiring all civil servants who joined the Special Administrative Region Government on or after July 1 this year to take an oath or sign a declaration as part of the terms of employment. So far, more than 3000 new civil servants have completed this program.

The Civil Service Bureau will also require all civil servants to make relevant declarations in the short term.

The 12 deputy directors and 14 political assistants who are also politically appointed officials of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government have taken the oath on December 16.
