A few days after the Japanese army entered the city in 1937, a few Japanese soldiers came to our place. At night, my mother and I were rescued from the air-raid shelter by Guo Xiulan's grandfather."

According to statistics from the memorial hall, several survivors will pass away in 2020. He Xiaohe is the fifth survivor who died this year. Currently, there are only 72 registered survivors certified by the Nanjing Japanese Invader Victims Aid Association.
