about to return for a third and final season in 2022.
As explained by the American site Deadline, Lars Von Trier will write the five episodes with Niels Vørsel, screenwriter of the original seasons, and will direct them under the title
The Kingdom Exodus
.
Note that a season 3 was planned at the time, in the 1990s, but had never seen the light of day because of the successive deaths of several actors.
The new season 3 is expected to bring together old and new characters.
