After the verdict which was handed down on Wednesday afternoon by the Rhône Assize Court, Cécile Bourgeon was hospitalized.
The mother of little Fiona was taken by a faint while she was at the small deposit of the judicial court of Lyon, indicates this Thursday evening the parquet of Lyon.
"She is currently hospitalized and under police surveillance," he said, adding that "her condition is under medical evaluation".
Cécile Bourgeon was sentenced to 20 years in prison for the death in 2013 of her child, whose body has never been found.
His former companion Berkane Makhlouf received a sentence of 18 years.
In seven years and four trials, this is the first time that the mother has been sentenced more heavily than her co-accused.
