The reporter learned from State Grid Jilin Electric Power Co., Ltd. on December 16 that in the past two years, power workers in Yanbian, Jilin have encountered Northeastern leopards four times during their field operations, and three of them have taken precious video materials.

The three encounters were on December 11, 2020, May 30, and April 16, 2019.

The most recent time the Northeast Leopard was only about 20 meters away from the person. Two workers quickly ran back into the car after spotting the Northeast Leopard, which was very thrilling.

At present, the State Grid Yanbian Power Supply Company has divided the risk levels according to the distribution of tigers and leopards in the jurisdiction, and adopted methods such as extending the inspection cycle, introducing drone inspections, and installing online monitoring equipment to ensure the safety of field workers.
