A malfunction in the Gmail email leads to his being out of service
The Google e-mail service "Gmail" suffered from technical problems that lasted for more than two hours on Tuesday, after a major malfunction faced by the Internet giant that led to depriving its users in large parts of the world of many of its services for some time.
Google said in a statement posted on the Internet at dawn Wednesday that "the problem of Gmail has been solved."
"We are aware of a problem with Gmail that affects a large subset of users," the company said.
The statement added that Internet users affected by this problem "can access Gmail but face error messages, long waits and / or unusual behaviors."
More than 15,000 Internet users reported problems they encountered when using Gmail.
Contrary to what happened on Monday, it appeared that all other Google services, such as the search engine, the geolocation service, and the YouTube platform for sharing video recordings, were not affected by the failure in the e-mail service.
In response to a question by Agence France-Presse, Google did not make any comment about the holiday that occurred on Tuesday evening.
