As every year in January, the Alpe d'Huez festival, in Isère, hosts the best of French comedy.

The 2021 edition will finally be held from March 23 to 28, the organizers announced on Tuesday, explaining this postponement by growing organizational difficulties related to the health context.

"The festival and its interlocutors have never been in denial of the situation, but they can only note the growing difficulties which multiply over the days for the organization of such a cultural and sharing event", explain they in a press release.

The General Tour Agency, the organizer of the festival, indicates that a postponement was also the best solution "for its audience, its partners and for the film industry so shaken up" because of the too great risks of "suffering an unknown calendar of new and sharp measures ”.

Its management also recalls that the recent postponement of the reopening of cinemas and cultural spaces welcoming the public has added to the uncertainty already surrounding the possibility that will be given to the Isère resort of offering festival-goers activities and events. catering services.

The festival will have 10 to 15 feature films and a dozen short films in competition, and will be chaired by Michèle Laroque.
