After a brutal attack on participants in a corona demonstration last May, the public prosecutor's office brought charges against two men from the left-wing scene.

A then 20-year-old is suspected of having committed attempted manslaughter.

He is said to have hit a victim massively in the head and seriously injured him.

A 24-year-old at the time of the crime is accused of dangerous bodily harm, as a spokeswoman for the Stuttgart public prosecutor announced on Tuesday.

Before a demonstration in May, three opponents of the corona conditions were attacked.

The alleged perpetrators are accused of having gathered in the Bad Cannstatt district as part of a group from the left-wing scene.

The 20 to 40 people are said to have attacked and injured what they saw as right-wing opponents with striking tools.

The fatally injured 54-year-old belonged to the union-like organization “Zentrum Automobil”.

His two colleagues also suffered injuries.
