Bypass the ban to "bring back a smile".

Unable to sing or organize shows due to health restrictions decided by the government, the director of a performance hall near Roanne (Loire) decided to innovate and offer an unusual Christmas concert on Saturday 19 December.

It is aboard a hot air balloon that Frédérick Arno, director of the Cabaret Elegance in Renaison, will sing from 10 am for the 3,500 inhabitants of the town located one hour from Lyon.

A concert from the air imagined in connection with the Wing Over company at Roanne airport as a snub to the health crisis and the current bans.

“We can no longer sing on earth.

We have been asked to renew ourselves: here is our answer!

From land closed to the public

For the owner of the hot-air balloon, involved in this project, the objective, in these gloomy times, is "to bring back a smile to the inhabitants and to make the Roanne coast shine".

To avoid any public gathering, banned due to Covid-19, the concert is scheduled on private land, closed and located in the center of Renaison.

The inhabitants will only have to open their windows to enjoy the Christmas tunes.

In the event of bad weather, the concert will be postponed to Sunday morning, at the same time.

A funny initiative that once again demonstrates the imagination of cultural players to adapt to this major crisis and continue to entertain the public.
