In Niger, the presidential election is in two weeks, on December 27.

In accordance with the fundamental law, President Mahamadou Issoufou is not running for a third term.

Its candidate is Mohamed Bazoum, the former Minister of the Interior and Foreign Affairs.

In the opposition, Hama Amadou is excluded from the race on the decision of the Constitutional Court.

But there are other heavyweights.

Among them, former President Mahamane Ousmane, who came fourth in 2016 with 6% of the vote.
