  After investigation, from October 29th to November 26th, three merchants from Dongshuai Aquatic Products Non-staple Food Store in Puyang County, Puyang City, Donghai Fisheries Stores at Botouji Market in Hualong District, and Hongjian Dry Vegetable Condiment Stores at Lvyuan Vegetable Market in Qingfeng County successively Zhengzhou purchased 300 pieces of imported Indian hairtail, 232 pieces have been sold and 68 pieces are in stock.

Puyang City sealed all 68 products involved in the inventory on the spot and completely eliminated them, carried out nucleic acid testing and centralized quarantine medical observation on all 20 directly contacted persons traced, and carried out nucleic acid testing on sealed hairtails, packaging, and the environment. On December 11, Puyang City collected more than 350 nucleic acid samples from the inner and outer packaging of the frozen hairtail and the hairtail, and carried out nucleic acid testing on 20 people who were closely followed by the frozen hairtail.

The nucleic acid tests of the closely tracked frozen hairtail fish are all negative.

A cold chain sample from Puyang County, after a weakly positive nucleic acid test at Puyang County People’s Hospital on December 12, was confirmed to be positive by the Municipal Center for Disease Control and Prevention at 5 pm on December 13.
