"There will be

vaccines

for everyone and they will be left over", are the words with which the Minister of Health, Salvador Illa, assured this Monday on

NEF Online

that the autonomous communities can be calm about the vaccination process against Covid-19 in Spain.

Illa

has affirmed this

during her intervention in the telematic edition of the informative event organized by

Nueva Economía Forum

, in which the main guest was the Minister of Inclusion, Social Security and Migrations, José Luis Escrivá, thus responding to the criticisms that have been thrown at her leaders of the Community of Madrid who have doubted that they will have sufficient

doses of vaccine

.

"The arrival of

vaccines

will be progressive" and sufficient, Illa insisted.

"

Spain will have 140 million doses

. There will be vaccines for everyone and there will be plenty of them," he said, and remarked that

"Spain has all the capacities ready

so that as soon as the doses arrive, the population can be immunized with all the necessary guarantees."

Minister of

Health

said it expected next December 29 the European Agency for Drug approve the

vaccine Covid-19

from

Pfizer

that is already managing in

UK

and this week begins to dispense in the

US, so that "In the first week of January"

immunization

begins

in Spain

.

In this sense,

Illa

predicted that

"as of January 4 or 5" vaccination will begin

among the sectors chosen for this first phase: social health personnel, people living in

residences

and also those with disabilities, and stressed that the forecasts are follow the

vaccination plan

approved by the European Union.

That plan awarded Spain 140 million doses and 2.4 billion to the entire EU, since the European Commission has signed seven contracts with pharmaceutical companies that have developed vaccines against Covid-19.

The Health Minister's forecasts are that

"between the months of May and June, some 20 million Spaniards will have already received the vaccine"

for Covid-19 and that by the end of August the entire population will be practically immunized.
