Bodour Al-Qasimi said that this position places the responsibility on her to contribute to the development of the international publishing sector, to help the members of the International Publishers Association to develop their work and keep abreast of global developments, and to bring together the views of publishers and the various parties that affect the book industry.

She added, "I will endeavor with my colleagues in the International Publishers Association to promote rapprochement between cultures and peoples and focus on common aspects, and we will focus on consolidating a culture of cooperation, partnership and work to meet the challenges of the publishing industry, to enable it to fulfill its function as a fundamental tool in achieving development and prosperity."

She sent her greetings to all workers in the publishing and knowledge industry in the whole world, since this industry is not like any other industry, as it is a formulation of peoples' sentiments, knowledge and a summary of their experiences. And being well prepared for it, and from this standpoint, my main role in the next phase will be to contribute to the formulation of programs and ideas to help publishers overcome the challenges of this crisis safely, and then benefit from the lessons and move to the future gradually and regularly.

Bodour Al-Qasimi expressed her wish that competence becomes a criterion for selection in all societies, and said: "With this, we enhance competition for learning and self-development, and offer our services to the public with sincerity and sincerity."
