In World War II, in order to win victory, the Soviet people and the Chinese people made arduous efforts and paid a painful price.

However, we persevered, and we won because we were fighting for justice, for our country, and for freedom.

  Our earth is alive.

Seen from space, it looks like a beating heart.

That heart belongs to all human beings!

No matter which part is injured, the whole heart will shatter.

We, the children of Russia and China, don’t want war to break this heart!

  We want peace, never war!

  [Concurrent] Russian student representative Dima

I hope for the future that there will never be any war in the future, not (only) as big as the Great Patriotic War, but there will be no war at all.

[Concurrent] Zhang Jinghan, a junior student of Lugouqiao Middle School

I hope that the world in the future will be peaceful, with friendly exchanges between countries, and some contradictions that can be resolved in time, so that hatred will not accumulate.

[Concurrent] Denisov, Russian Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to China

The most important and precious part of historical memory is to let us remember the lessons of the past.

China and the Soviet Union were the two most damaged countries in World War II.

The Chinese say, don’t forget the original intention, and I want to say on behalf of the Russians that we should also not forget the original intention. This is a truth.
