A robbery took place at the home of the late Italian football legend Paolo Rossi on the day of his funeral, according to Italian media reports.


It was reported that thieves broke into the family's house in Bossini on the outskirts of Arezzo in Tuscany, according to the ANSA news agency, the Corriere della Sera newspaper and other media, indicating that investigations were launched into this incident.


The ANSA news agency reported that the accident was discovered by a family employee, while a Russian wife discovered a looting in the rooms of the house upon her arrival, and according to press reports, jewelry and a wristwatch had disappeared.


Rossi died last Thursday at the age of 64, after he led the Italian national team to crown the 1982 World Cup title.


 The funeral ceremony for the Italian legend took place in a cathedral in Vicenza, northern Italy, on Saturday, and the funeral ceremony was broadcast on television.
