Before Christmas, the departure ceremony of "Santa Taxi" was held in Fukushima City and other places where a driver dressed as Santa Claus was on board.

"Santa Taxi" is a limited-time service that "Azuma Taxi", which runs mainly in Fukushima City and Kunimi Town, has been providing this time every year since 6 years ago.

Handmade decorations and LED lights will be attached to the seats, and passengers will be presented with Santa Claus made of origami paper.

On the 13th, a departure ceremony was held in front of Iizaka Onsen Station in Fukushima City, and staff in disguise performed performances such as playing Christmas songs and handed out sweets to children passing by.

Then, a driver dressed as Santa Claus boarded a taxi and was driving a car.

Takeshi Sato, a crew member, said, "I want to make the people who see it happy and liven up the whole town. I hope that not only the passengers but also the people who pass each other will smile."

From the 21st to the 25th of this month, "Santa Taxi" is scheduled to operate in earnest using up to 18 vehicles, and telephone reservations will also be accepted.
