The Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation affirmed that it attaches great importance to the Sheikh Zayed Festival, noting that it is a strategic partner and supporter of the festival’s success in all its sessions, due to its belief that the festival is an important opportunity for the meeting between the different cultures of the participating countries, and a bridge between the past, the present and the future.
Through its participation, the Foundation seeks to promote the festival's slogan, "The Emirates is a meeting place of civilizations", as it is responsible for fully hosting the Uzbekistan pavilion, and supervising the pavilions of many countries participating in the festival.
The Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation is also keen, through its participation in the festival, to support Emirati families, highlight the values of the Emirati folklore, and preserve the inherited handicrafts, such as handicrafts such as Tali weaving, Sadu, traditional foods, “Khouss” and incense, and many others. The pavilion of the Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation organizes, as it does every year, a popular cooking competition, to prepare eight dishes of the most popular dishes that characterize the Emirati cuisine, and each session is organized for a period of 12 days, with the participation of up to 150 women.
The dishes are evaluated daily by a specialized jury in terms of the taste, aroma and general appearance of the dishes.
