A mysterious metal obelisk appeared in the vicinity of the Vistula River in the Polish capital Warsaw, similar to those discovered in the United States and a number of European countries.

And local media reported that people who were practicing a morning jog along the river reported seeing the silver-colored obelisk, which is three meters long, which was planted in the sand near a bridge in the vicinity of the river.

The municipal authorities explained on their Facebook page that "a mysterious and unfamiliar piece appeared on the right bank" of the river.

A similar monument was discovered in mid-November in the Utah desert in the United States before it disappeared days later.

Other obelisks appeared a few days later in Romania, Britain and the Netherlands, according to media.

These strange discoveries have achieved great popularity through social networks, and many have stopped at the similarities with strange obelisks from outside our planet in Stanley Kubrick's 2001 movie, A Space Odyssey.

A group calling itself "The Most Famous Artist" based in New Mexico, USA, claimed responsibility for placing the obelisk in Utah, and published a picture of the work on Instagram and put it up for sale at a price of $ 45,000.

But she made it clear that it had nothing to do with the obelisks discovered in Romania, Britain and the Netherlands.
