Taylor Swift on her 31st birthday releases a surprising drum

The American singer Taylor Swift announced, the day before yesterday, the release of her second surprising CD this year, which was described as "the sister" of her "folklore", which was released last July without promotion.

The new CD bears the title "Evermore", and is the ninth for Swift, which celebrates its 31st birthday tomorrow.

On her Twitter account, Swift wrote: "Since I was 13, I have been looking forward to reaching 31, because it is the number that has significance for me, but it is upside down. That is why I wanted to offer you this surprise."

"We couldn't stop writing," said Swift, who composed most of her songs, often in collaboration with one or more partners, after "Folklore" was released.

At Evermore, Taylor Swift continued her collaboration with "Folklore", Aaron Decner, co-founder of indie rock band "The National", and Justin Vernon of Bon Everton.

Swift mentioned among the participants William Bowery, a pseudonym for her companion, British comedian Joe Alwyn, who was named as a participant in two of the "folklore" songs.

"Folklore" won the admiration of the public, and remained at the forefront of sales for eight weeks in the United States, and became the first CD to sell more than a million copies in 2020.

The "Evermore" CD includes 15 songs in the regular version, while the "Deluxe" version includes two additional songs.

In addition to a duet with "The National" and "Bon Ever", Swift also featured in one of the songs on the new record the women's group "Heim".
