Macau held the "2020 Cybersecurity Incident Exercise" on December 11, aiming to improve Macau's overall cybersecurity incident response level and effectively maintain cybersecurity.

The exercise simulated a large-scale cybersecurity incident in Macau. A large number of critical infrastructure operators’ computer systems were hacked. The cybersecurity center, regulatory entities, and various operators jointly responded in a short period of time through the "Network Security Incident Early Warning and Notification Platform" , Early warning, notification and updating of the handling progress of the accident in an electronic way.

The entire exercise lasted about 3 hours. Through the exercise, all participating parties tested the current accident notification and response mechanisms in order to optimize and improve them to achieve the expected goals and results.
