  The five defendants include 21-year-old real estate agent He Jiajun, 18-year-old student Lei Chenghao, 33-year-old salesperson Huang Jianjin, 22-year-old student Chen Langting and a 15-year-old girl.

All five were charged with the crime of "rioting" and the crime of "using masked objects during riots". Among them, He Jiajun and the girl were also charged with the crime of "possessing objects with intent to damage and destroy property".

  At the request of the prosecution, the magistrate adjourned the case until February 5, 2021. The defendants do not need to respond temporarily.

If the prosecution does not object, the magistrate approves each defendant’s application for bail.

  The Hong Kong police stated that more than 100 people assembled at the MTR Siu Hong Station and the Light Rail Siu Hong Station and used hammers, iron pipes, sharpened hard objects, etc. to damage the facilities inside the station, resulting in more than 1 million Hong Kong dollars in property losses. The safety of residents and passengers near the scene poses a threat.
