  At 15:15 on December 9, 2020, the special policeman of the Criminal Investigation Detachment of the Changsha Public Security Bureau received a call from the Donghu police in Nanchang, saying that he had arrested a man suspected of Zhang Chengyu at a construction site in Lehua Town, Xinjian District, Nanchang. The portraits are very similar, but the man remained silent after being captured.

After obtaining this information, the task force immediately matched the relevant information with the Nanchang police in Jiangxi Province, and through information comparison and analysis, it was determined that the man was Zhang Chengyu.

  After review, Zhang Chengyu confessed to the crime of killing 6 people and causing 2 serious injuries.

After committing the crime, he absconded and fled to Nanchang, Jiangxi, where he first lived in a local culvert and other places, then disguised his identity as a mute, and made a living by doing odd jobs locally.
