At a junior high school in Kawagoe City, Saitama Prefecture, it was confirmed that 35 students had been infected with the new coronavirus by the 6th, and the city may have spread the infection during the practice that was being held for the chorus event in the school. I'm investigating the infection route, considering that there are some.

According to Kawagoe City, a total of 35 students and teachers have been confirmed to be infected by the 6th at Noda Junior High School, and the city is investigating in detail that a group of infected people = clusters have occurred.

Of the 35 confirmed infections, 22 were in the first grade of junior high school, one was in the second grade, 11 were in the third grade, and one was a teacher, all of whom were mild or asymptomatic.

The school is scheduled to hold an in-school chorus event on December 5th with all students participating, and all classes have been practicing chorus after school since mid-November.

The Kawagoe City Board of Education requested the school to take thorough measures against infection, such as ventilation and wearing a mask after ensuring a sufficient distance when practicing chorus. According to him, he also had time to take off his mask and practice.

For this reason, the city is investigating the route of infection, considering that the infection may have spread through chorus practice.
