Returnees and immigrants from overseas are required not to use public transportation even if the test for the new corona virus at the airport is negative, but they will go straight from Narita Airport and Haneda Airport to some hotels in Tokyo. Regarding buses, we found that the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism is making adjustments so that they can be used from the middle of this month.

As a measure to prevent the infection of the new coronavirus, the government requires returnees and immigrants from overseas to arrange and move their own vehicles without using public transportation even if the airport test is negative. The problem is that the financial burden is large.

For this reason, the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism is considering the use of public transportation such as buses and railroads. Of these, buses that go directly from Narita Airport and Haneda Airport to hotels in Tokyo are exclusively for returnees and immigrants staying at hotels. The hotel and the bus company are coordinating by setting up a flight.

The service is scheduled to start on the 16th of this month, with 3 flights a day and direct flights to 12 hotels in Tokyo.

The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism has decided to make adjustments so that transportation can be secured by rail and aviation by limiting users and vehicles and thoroughly implementing infection prevention measures.
