[Explanation] At 11:00 on December 5, the reporter learned from the emergency rescue headquarters of the Diaoshuidong Coal Mine Safety Accident in Yongchuan District, Chongqing, that the accident has successfully rescued 1 survivor and found 18 victims.

At about 17:00 on December 4, the Diaoshuidong coal mine, which was closed for more than two months in Yongchuan District, Chongqing, was shut down for more than two months. Because the company dismantled underground equipment on its own, a carbon monoxide overrun accident occurred and 24 people were trapped underground.

The reporter saw in the Diaoshuidong coal mine that multiple departments including public security, emergency response, fire protection, and mine rescue were carrying out rescue work at the accident site. Some relatives of miners were anxiously waiting for news from their loved ones.

  [Concurrent] Relatives of miners

I am Ou Jiancai's relatives, I just came to find out if they came out.

(What's the situation with your brother here?) He is an electrician.

(Have you been working here?) I have been working here for more than ten years.

【Explanation】According to rescuers, there are still toxic gases in the underground mine, making rescue difficult, and search and rescue work is still underway.
