China News Service, Hong Kong, December 4th. The Finance Committee (Finance Committee) of the Legislative Council of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region on the 4th approved the "Lantau Tomorrow" preliminary research funding, involving about 550 million Hong Kong dollars.

  On the same day, the Finance Committee of the Legislative Council of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region continued to review the funding for the preliminary study of the "Lantau Tomorrow" project involving reclamation of 1,000 hectares of artificial islands on Jiao Yi Chau.

The Chairman of the Finance Committee of the Legislative Council of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, Chen Jianbo, decided to vote at nearly 19:00 that night, and the appropriation of approximately HK$550 million was finally approved.

  The Director of the Development Bureau of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government, Wong Wai Lun, said that the Special Administrative Region Government will report to the Legislative Council every year on the progress of the research and will also strengthen public participation during the research period.
