"Sake Marche", a sales event that collects sake from the six prefectures of Tohoku, has started in Sendai City in an attempt to support sake breweries whose sales are declining due to the effects of the Great East Japan Earthquake and the new coronavirus.

This "Sake Marche" was held by a general incorporated association in Yamagata Prefecture, which is working to revitalize the region, and 5% of its sales are donated to the victims of the Great East Japan Earthquake through an NPO corporation.

At the venue in Sendai City, 17 sake breweries in the 6 prefectures of Tohoku, Ginjo Sake and Junmai Sake, were lined up.

Of these, "Yamazuku Junmai Ginjo" from the sake brewery "Suehiro" in Aizuwakamatsu City, Fukushima Prefecture, is characterized by its elegant taste and was served by the leaders of each country at the G20 Osaka Summit last year.

In addition, Ichinozo's "Special Junmai Genshu" in Osaki City, Miyagi Prefecture, means that all sales will be donated to the affected children.

The organizer hopes to support sake breweries through this sales event, as sales of sake have fallen sharply due to the effects of the new coronavirus.

Mr. Kohei Inoue, the organizer, said, "The amount of sake wholesaled to izakaya has decreased significantly, and there are voices from the brewery wanting to find a new sales channel. I want you to enjoy the taste and help." ..

This sales event will be held until the 25th of this month at the commercial facility "Sendai Forus" in Ichibancho, Aoba-ku, Sendai.
