This year's edition of the Roskilde Festival had to be canceled, but now they are investing in getting 100,000 festival visitors to gather for eight days next summer.

Today they released the name of 29 booked artists, including Megan Thee Stallion, DaBaby, The Strokes and Haim.

Roskilde Festival's director Signe Lopdrup tells Politiken that there are several technical advances that can make it easier to succeed in holding a festival next summer.

- For example, the development of vaccines and rapid tests is progressing rapidly.

And we expect that we can combine several actions at once.

Screening of guests, effective infection tracking by making the tickets personal and other forms of behavioral and hygiene measures, says Signe Lopdrup.

Certificate that you do not carry the infection

Another solution that the festival hopes for is a so-called corona pass - suggested as an app that can prove that visitors are not carrying the corona infection, for example through a negative test, antibodies in the blood or a vaccination.

In connection with the investment in next year's festival, the festival director publishes a debate article together with other actors in the festival industry and calls for better cooperation with the Danish government and the Swedish Health Agency, their equivalent to the Public Health Agency, so that next year's festival season is even possible.

According to Politiken, the National Board of Health does not want to comment, but the Ministry of Culture writes in an email to the newspaper that they are having a dialogue with the relevant authorities, but it is too early to assess whether it is realistic to organize a festival next summer.
