The cultural sector is backing by eight billion

The number of employees has fallen from 58,000 to 52,000. This corresponds to a decrease of about ten percent.

It is especially heavy for amusement and theme parks.

There, sales decrease by 80 percent.

The cultural activities have reduced their turnover by a total of 29 percent or SEK 3.6 billion during January – September.

“Theaters and concert halls are doing particularly badly. In that industry, sales decrease by as much as 62 percent. Support companies for artistic activities are also developing weakly, where sales have decreased by SEK 2.7 billion, ”says Daniel Lennartsson, statistician at Statistics Sweden, in a press release.
