Huang Xiaoming said that, as the UNAIDS China Goodwill Ambassador, he has been working hard to eliminate AIDS-related discrimination, safeguard the rights and interests of people living with HIV, and provide all kinds of support to people living with HIV.

He hopes that through his popular science, the public will realize that AIDS is not terrible, it is preventable and curable.

Firstly, AIDS is not untreatable but can be prevented. Firstly, prevention is very important. Secondly, if you get the virus, you can take medicine for a long time. The medicine you take in this life will be the same as that of normal people. knew.

The second is that our current technical testing is very advanced, so you can detect whether you are living with HIV within 20 minutes.

Don't panic if you accidentally get it, because we will not discriminate against them, we will protect them, and hope that they can be treated as soon as possible.

[Explanation] It is understood that the Beijing Red Ribbon Home, registered in 2005, is the first social organization in China that specializes in comprehensive AIDS care. Its predecessor was the Red Ribbon Home of Beijing Ditan Hospital established in 1999.

At the symposium, Wang Kerong, chairman of the Beijing Red Ribbon Home, shared the volunteers' efforts for the infected during the epidemic.

We received the first call for help on the third day of the Lunar New Year, saying that his medicine may be running out. What if he can't come back? There is an epidemic now.

We actually started mailing medicines to our patients since the fourth day of the day.

Through our mailed medicines, through the help of the group, and through this remote medicine collection, we actually solved more than 90% of the patients (the problem of taking medicine), and very few patients stopped taking medicine.

[Commentary] Ms. Sang Ailing, the United Nations Acting Coordinator in China, also thanked Ditan Hospital for continuing to provide services to people living with HIV during the period of the new crown epidemic.

In many parts of the world, we have seen that the services provided to people living with HIV have been interrupted due to the epidemic.

But here you have shown a different determination. Through the cooperation between the hospital and the company’s Red Ribbon House, we will continue to provide HIV-infected people with the services they need in a different way. During those difficult times, we are very thank you.
