A bus driver in Augsburg has been withdrawn from traffic with plenty of alcohol in his blood.
As the Bavarian police reported on Wednesday, they received several leads after the man hit a wall with his vehicle early Tuesday evening and then drove on.
The bus was on its way to the end of its line.
According to the officials, a patrol car stopped the bus, which was damaged in the front area, a short time later.
Passengers were no longer on board.
The 65-year-old driver got 1.7 per mille in an alcohol test. His driver's license was withdrawn, another driver took over the bus. According to the police, the man is also being investigated for road traffic hazard and accident escape.
