Chinese actor Fan Bingbing won a lawsuit against a bad guy who spread malicious rumors.

China's Sina Entertainment reported that the Beijing Online Court recently released a document stating that Fan Bingbing won the lawsuit against the bad guy on August 20.

On his social media, "Pan Bingbing, when he visited Shaanxi Province on a schedule in 2012, engaged in prostitution overnight with a chaebol for 12 million yuan (about 2 billion won). He spread the false facts that he had to return the money intact.

The court ruled to compensate Mr. A for 3,000 yuan (about 500,000 won) for attorneys' fees and 1.5 million yuan (about 2.5 million won) for mental damages, claiming that he had damaged Fan Bingbing's reputation by false information.

It also ordered A's social media account to post an apology for Fan Bingbing for 10 days. As a result, Fan Bingbing was freed from rumors of prostitution that followed him.

Fan Bingbing made the Greater China buzz on charges of evading taxes amounting to KRW 44 billion in 2018. Since then, he apologized after paying a fine of 143 billion won. Recently, he posted a photo of a diamond ring worth 3.6 billion won on his SNS, showing off his money and buying a frown.

Fan Bingbing is scheduled to make a comeback on the screen with the Hollywood movie '355', which will be released in January 2021.
