Soviet and Russian actress Nina Grebeshkova was born on November 29, 1930 in Moscow. As a child, she did not even think about acting in films and planned to become a teacher, however, on the advice of the poet Vladimir Lugovsky, she entered VGIK after school. During her 70-year career, the actress has worked with many famous directors, including such masters of Russian cinema as Georgy Danelia, Ivan Pyriev, Sergey Kolosov, Alexander Ptushko. But Grebeshkova was best known for her roles in the comedies of her husband Leonid Gaidai ("The Diamond Arm", "The Prisoner of the Caucasus, or Shurik's New Adventures", "12 Chairs", "It Can't Be!", "Sportloto-82").
