  China News Service, Hong Kong, November 29. The Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government cited the "Prevention and Control of Diseases (Compulsory Testing for Certain Persons) Regulations" (Chapter 599J) on the 29th and gazetted the mandatory testing announcements under the regulations and requested Those who have been to three designated places from November 15 to November 29 must undergo a nucleic acid test for the new coronavirus on or before December 3.

  According to the Information Service of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government, a spokesperson for the Food and Health Bureau of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government said on the 29th that the local epidemic situation in Hong Kong continued to deteriorate, and the number of confirmed cases involving various indoor group gathering activities continued to rise sharply.

After further investigation by the Health Protection Center of the Department of Health of the Special Administrative Region Government, it was found that some confirmed cases recently involved certain places.

Therefore, the SAR government has issued a mandatory testing announcement under Chapter 599J, compelling people who have been to three specified places to be tested immediately.

  It is reported that the three specified locations are Star Moon Residences on the 3rd floor of Chuang’s Enterprise Building, 382 Lockhart Road, Wanchai, OttoeMezzo8½BOMBANA, Shop 202, 2nd Floor, Alexandra Building, 18 Chater Road, Central, and 1st Floor, Chengxin Building, 130-136 Connaught Road Central, Sheung Wan and Shop C on the ground floor, Quanzhangju Hotel.

  Those who are required to undergo compulsory testing can obtain a deep throat saliva test sample collection package and return it to the designated collection point to arrange for testing provided by a private laboratory approved by the Department of Health of the Special Administrative Region Government at community testing centers, mobile sampling booths, and Hong Kong hospitals. Any medical facility (general outpatient clinic or emergency department) of the Authority accepts testing services.

  A spokesperson for the SAR government said that it calls on all people who have doubts about their physical condition or are at risk of infection (such as visiting places with outbreaks or contacting confirmed cases) to be tested as soon as possible, so as to effectively identify infected persons early.

The Food and Health Bureau of the Special Administrative Region Government will, depending on the development of the epidemic and the test participation rate, make mandatory test announcements for individual groups when necessary.
