The young singer then enjoyed very rapid success, even before his victory in the show.

He remembers that after each bonus, more and more fans were waiting for him when he left the TF1 studios.

The situation was getting so bad that he ended up not being able to go out with his face uncovered.

“It was packed with people every time to go from studio to studio,” he recalls, smiling.

"They had to put me in a flycase [a large technical crate on wheels used in the entertainment industry] so that I would go out discreetly."

An experience that is far from having traumatized the teenager at the time.

"I was wondering 'What's going on?', I was laughing out loud," he explains.

Mother worried even before the show

Kendji Girac remembers his mother worrying about never seeing her son again, as soon as he was called for blind auditions.

My dad said to him, "Look, anyway, I'll go with him. So whatever it is, I'll be behind him," the singer said.

"And my father came with me to Paris. He was with me all the time, because I was a minor."

After his victory, albums and tours followed one another for Kendji Girac, who nevertheless took the time to take a two-year break, in particular to recharge his batteries with his family.
