[Explanation] Because of the love of Chinese history and Chinese, three years ago, Ukrainian Irina (Chinese name: Yang Ying) came to Xi’an from her hometown of Lviv and became a Ukrainian teacher at Xi’an International Studies University.

And her husband Yuri also used his many years of professional skills to teach karate at Xi'an International Studies University.

This "civilian and military" couple became an enviable "campus chivalrous couple".

Irina told reporters that Yuri has been engaged in karate for more than 40 years.

The relationship between the two is also "if you don't get acquainted."

Irina started learning karate when she was in college. Yuri was a physical education teacher at the university. During a karate practice, she injured the corner of her eye and stitched five stitches.

In the process of taking care of Yuri, the two slowly developed feelings.

Irina said that besides karate, her biggest hobby is learning languages. Under the "call" of Chinese, she took the lead in Xi'an.

Later, her husband Yuri and daughter also came, and the family of three reunited here.

When I first came to Xi'an, I was only one person here.

But then, the leaders of our Xi'an International Studies University helped my husband let him come to work in Xi'an.

My husband also works here. He teaches sports and also teaches karate. Karate is his life.

[Explanation] In the classroom, Yuri is leading the students to practice karate, one by one with powerful force.

Yuri does not speak much Chinese, and I rely on Irina's translation for communication with students.

The two have different teaching styles, but they work in harmony. This unique combination has attracted many students to learn karate.

The style of two people is like one is rigid and the other is soft, that is, Mr. Yuli, he will be particularly strict and serious, and then he will be very careful when teaching us movements.

And Teacher Yang Ying, she is very gentle, she is very patient to translate for us, and then help us to break the barriers of communication and language.

[Explanation] Although Yuri speaks very ordinary Chinese, this does not hinder his love for Xi'an. Whether it is beautiful scenery or food, he is happy to enjoy it.

When I first came to China, I was a little uncomfortable, so my life and work were a bit problematic, but after a period of time, I got used to living here.

I like the food here very much. The lamb in Xi'an is very delicious.

[Explanation] In Irina's view, Xi'an has a long history and rich culture, just like her hometown of Lviv, where she gradually found a sense of home.

Nowadays, my husband and I have a successful career, and my daughter has started to go to school in Xi'an. The whole family regards Xi'an as their second hometown and hopes to live here for a long time.
