[Explanation] The Consul General of Vietnam in Nanning, Huang Yurong, said in an exclusive interview with a reporter from China News Agency that the signing of the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) will greatly promote the development of economic globalization. Economic and trade exchanges will usher in an era of more active development.

[Explanation] After nearly 8 years of negotiations, the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (RCEP) was signed online at the Fourth Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (RCEP) Leaders’ Meeting on November 15 through video conference.

[Explanation] Huang Yurong believes that the establishment of the world's largest free trade zone by RCEP will open the markets of member states more effectively, effectively stimulate economic growth, and bring more dividends to people's lives.

I think it (RCEP) will make the markets of China, ASEAN countries, and countries participating in RCEP more open. Of course, more openness will stimulate economic growth and have a greater positive effect on serving the lives of ordinary people.

[Explanation] Huang Yurong said that since this year, at such a difficult time of the epidemic, many countries and regions around the world, especially the European Union and the United States, have suffered major economic shocks. However, the economic and trade relations between ASEAN and China have gone against the current and achieved positive growth. .

(During the epidemic) Guangxi and Vietnam have maintained a very good cooperation and exchanges, allowing the supply chains of the two countries to pass through several border ports in Guangxi to maintain production and maintain a normal customs clearance situation.

In this way, the supply of production in our two countries will not be greatly affected.

[Explanation] Huang Yurong introduced that Vietnam and China are connected by mountains and rivers, and their industries are highly complementary.

Guangxi is the main land route connecting China and Vietnam. Since the outbreak of the epidemic this year, Vietnam’s Lang Son, Quang Ninh, and Cao Binh provinces have always maintained close exchanges and cooperation with them. Both sides have continued to ensure customs clearance at ports and reduce the epidemic’s impact on the two countries. The impact of the production and living supply of the Chinese people has promoted the healthy and stable development of Vietnam-China relations, forming a situation of normal activities in economic and trade cooperation between the two countries.

China and Vietnam are very close neighbors and are highly complementary. Both parties should work together to further promote cooperation in some industries and cooperation in some supply chains. In particular, China also has its advantages and is a large market. The level (in terms) of economic development is still (in) a better development position compared with ASEAN countries and Vietnam.

I also hope that (China) will be more open to ASEAN countries in the future, more tolerant, and more active, and be able to assist ASEAN countries in developing economic, trade, and investment cooperation.
