Tell the story of decolonizations from the point of view of the colonized?
A snub to the classic historical narrative that reflects the gaze of colonizing Europe.
This was the position taken by the series of three documentaries entitled “Décolonisations”, directed by Karim Miské, Pierre Singaravélou and Marc ball, and broadcast last year on the Franco-German television channel Arte.
These documentaries are today the subject of an eponymous book published in co-edition by Seuil and Arte éditions.
Marc Ball is the guest of Julie Vandal.
