Why do some people die from Corona and how does the virus kill human cells?

Scientists have found the mechanism by which the emerging corona virus works in human bodies, and they concluded that infected cells die within a day or two.

By combining multiple imaging techniques, researchers saw that the Corona virus creates "virus-copying factories" in cells that resemble groups of balloons.

The researchers said on Tuesday in the journal "Cell Host and Microbe", that the virus disrupts the cellular systems responsible for secreting substances.

Ralph Bartenschlager, co-author of the study from Heidelberg University in Germany, told Reuters that, "In addition, the virus reorganizes the cytoskeleton that gives cells their shape and" works like a railway system to allow the transport of different charges inside the cell. " .

Partenschlager said that when his team added drugs that affect the cytoskeleton, the virus encountered a problem in copying itself, which "indicates that the virus needs to reorganize the cytoskeleton in order to reproduce efficiently."

He added: "We now have a much better idea of how the Corona virus changes the intracellular structure of the infected cell, and this will help us understand why cells die so quickly."

He said that the "Zika" virus causes similar changes in the cells, so it may be possible to develop drugs for "Covid 19" that also work against other viruses.

The Zika virus is transmitted by mosquito bites, and it causes what is known as Zika fever, which has been linked to microcephaly in newborns.
