In the video, "Our Lady of the Rain" ... the story of a picture that preoccupied Egyptians

Social media circulated a picture of an Egyptian woman, dubbed "The Lady of the Rain", after she was spotted by camera lenses while she was sitting on a Cairo street selling "thermos" during the bad weather last week.

Some social media users sympathized with the woman, demanding an attempt to support her.

A quick reaction came from the Ministry of Social Solidarity in Egypt, where Minister Nevin Al-Kabbaj directed a team of homeless children and adults to contact the "Lady of the Rain", until she was found.

After communicating with the woman, it became clear that she is called Neamat Abdel Hamid, 63 years old, from Beni Suef governorate, where she suffers from difficult humanitarian conditions, which prompted her to sell "thermos" in the streets of Cairo to meet her family's needs. The kidneys are suffering from pressure, diabetes and shortness of breath.

Egyptian media reported that the Ministry of Social Solidarity team offered to deposit her in one of the shelters until her needs are determined and her file is completed through the case management program, but she refused and asked for a place to stay instead of the room in which she is staying.
