“Com Hem and TV4 Media have today signed a multi-year agreement for the TV4 channels and C More.

Com Hem and Boxer's customers can continue to watch TV4, Sjuan, TV12 and C More as usual and more channels will also be available in the future, ”writes Com Hem.

- We hope that the fact that the agreement is multi-year provides security, as it means a stable offer for our customers over a longer period of time, says Joel Ibson, communications manager at Com Hem.

Major purchases paved the way for conflict

A year ago, it was clear that Telia's acquisition of Bonnier broacasting went through and that was where the conflicts began.

Threats of extinguishing, actual extinguishing of TV4 and even more extinguishing warnings.

But why have they quarreled so much?

- You can see it as if the entire TV market is in a phase of change, we are breaking new ground in Sweden at the same time as several international competitors are coming in.

You must therefore discuss new and old rights in a way you have not done before, says Joel Ibson and continues:

- Then it is the case that TV4 was acquired by our biggest competitor in the mobile market, which means additional challenges when we have to conclude agreements.

Understand that customers are tired

Is there a risk that you will lose customers' trust when things go on like this?

- It absolutely does, I understand that customers are tired of conflicts and regret that it creates insecurity.

That is why it is so important that we have a multi-year agreement in place, we are happy that we were able to resolve this without the customers losing channels during the negotiations.
