  Fujian Opera, also known as Fuzhou Opera, is a type of Fujian local opera, popular in Fujian, Taiwan and various parts of Southeast Asia, and is included in the National Intangible Cultural Heritage Protection List.

  At present, Fujian opera with a history of more than 400 years has come back to life. In addition to provincial and municipal professional art troupes, there are more than 80 professional folk opera troupes active in Changle, Fuqing and other places, with nearly 50,000 professional Fujian opera actors.
