92 years and a world empire later, the mouse born from Walt Disney's pencil stroke continues to permeate pop culture.

Mickey returns to Disney + for his birthday, with an animated series that combines origins and modernity; 

Mickey, the most famous mouse in the world, blows out its 92 candles this Wednesday.

An anniversary celebrating the Disney + streaming platform.

For the occasion, it offers a new series called

The Wonderful World of Mickey 

and which wants to modernize the legend Mickey.

For Sébastien Durand, a specialist in pop culture and the Disney universe, this new series reconciles the original Mickey and the modern Mickey.

"He's a Mickey with today's codes, but we also find the original Mickey, in his features and in his character, not so wise as what he then became," he explains. .

"Show Mickey to those who know him and continue to show him"

The expert is also pleased with the size of the program.

"We find the traditional format of a few minutes that we had lost a bit, with gags and a bunch of friends," he says.

"The point of a series like this is to show Mickey to those who have always known him, and to continue to show him."

This Mickey's birthday is coupled with another important date: the 40 years of Disney's partnership with the association "Make a Wish", which grants the wishes of sick children.

A Mickey plush toy is on sale for the occasion and part of the proceeds will be donated to the association.
