The azure blue of the Baie des Anges, the ocher facades of Place Masséna and the picturesque streets of the old town… On the postcards that tourists snatch up, Nice is a hit!

Prized for its architecture, the fifth city in France, second after Paris in terms of international attendance, was built under Italian and later English influence.

But between two of its wonders, which delight Instagram fans, certain buildings, whether old or more recently built, are far from unanimous.
