Hakuhodo DYM scammed over 30 million yen for fictitious commercial production costs or arrested former employees November 16 20:49

Four ex-employees were arrested on suspicion of fraud for charging a fictitious TV commercial production cost to a major advertising company "Hakuhodo DY Media Partners" and deceiving more than 30 million yen in cash.


The Metropolitan Police Department is investigating that the amount of damage will amount to about 700 million yen in three years.


A total of four people were

arrested, including a former employee of Hakuhodo DY Media Partners,

Makoto Nakajima (43) in Ota-ku

,

Tokyo, and an executive of an advertising company with which he is a business partner.



According to the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department, the four were suspected of fraud in November when they charged the company for the production of a fictitious TV commercial and cheated about 32 million yen in cash.



Nakajima was disciplined and dismissed last September after an internal investigation of the company revealed fraud.



The Metropolitan Police Department is investigating the details of how the four people repeatedly made fictitious claims using the same method, and estimated that the total damage amount would amount to about 700 million yen in the three years up to last year.



The Metropolitan Police Department has not disclosed the approval or disapproval of the four.
