The Comoros team got closer to a historic first participation in the final phase of the African Cup of Nations, this November 15, 2020 in Malouzini.

The Comorians beat the Kenyans 2-1 in qualifying for the "CAN 2021".

The Coelacanths are first in Group G with 8 points, pending the Togo-Egypt match.

The Comoros national team has in any case taken a further step towards a historic first participation in a final phase of the African Cup of Nations.

Star striker El Fardou Ben Nabouhane opened the scoring with a close range header (21st), before the visitors equalized by Cliff Nyakeya with a cross shot (36th).

Then Faiz Mattoir gave the advantage to the premises with a powerful cross strike (49th).

Until Togo-Egypt

Thanks to this success, Amir Abdou's charges are now first in Group G with 8 points, pending the Togo-Egypt match scheduled for November 17.

After having lived through incredible eliminations for CAN 2019, the Comorian selection is close to a revenge.

A victory for the Egyptians in Togo would bring them a little closer to qualifying for the CAN in Cameroon
