China News Service, Mianyang, November 13 (Reporter Yang Yong) The Xuebaoding National Nature Reserve Administration in Sichuan issued a news on the 13th that in the latest infrared camera data collected, it was again captured on multiple camera points. Moving images of wild giant pandas, especially two giant pandas in the same frame were captured at a camera point in the Huya area.

According to the staff, the camera point was placed on the 12th and 23rd of 2019. The selection of the location was based on the fact that there were many traces of wild panda activity in this area during the field survey, including obvious footprints, traces of feeding, and smelling. Wild panda hairs were found on the tree.

The images of wild pandas captured at this location include two accompanying images during the day and one single moving image at night.

The pictures of the two companions are particularly shocking. First, a restless panda walks to a tree and has been sniffing carefully with its nose; then the second panda enters the picture, and this panda looks like a quiet one. The little girl has been looking around to the ground.

Soon, the restless giant panda changed its posture. It turned around and rubbed back and forth on the trunk with its hips, as if tickling (or dancing). In fact, this is a marking behavior of animals.

After "tickling it", the giant panda lay on the ground again, dancing with its limbs, looking like a companion deliberately amused by it, the picture was very happy.

According to the staff of the Sichuan Xuebaoding National Nature Reserve Administration, due to a certain deviation in the camera time setting at this location, it is inferred that the picture should appear in April according to the actual situation.

This season is the breeding season of wild giant pandas, so it can be inferred that the two giant pandas in the picture are probably one male and one female who are courting and playing.

In the following days, the site again captured a single individual giant panda's activity picture, and once again saw the giant panda's marking behavior.

They usually have an inverted body when doing marking behaviors, that is, their hips are facing upwards and their heads facing downwards, which is very cute.

In fact, every adult panda has its own territory. They usually smear gonad secretions (such as urine) on the trunk to mark their territory and warn other pandas passing by: "Hey, this is my territory. !" In addition, this marking behavior can also be used for courtship, especially when pandas in estrus will leave secretions specifically to attract the opposite sex and their kind, so as to prepare for the reproduction of offspring.
